A RICH VALLEY

The rich valleys of Central Asia historically provided some of the best fruit and vegetables in Eurasia, with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan being renowned for their high quality pastures. 

While land is plentiful, the local population require irrigation, technical expertise, equipment and fertilizers to meet the region’s potential.

A REGION RICH IN NATURAL RESOURCES

The geographical proximity of large markets such as China and Russia, with incomes rising, will boost demand for agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, both exciting emerging markets in the area.

Today’s generation of young people, at 1.8 billion, is the largest ever. Most live in the rural areas of low and middle-income countries. They are two to three times more likely to be unemployed when adults. As a result, they are more likely to leave their homes in search of work in the larger cities or across borders.
